The Sky is Red

After a two month break from our blog (ALL of us have had so much on our plates!) I am starting up with a quote from Geoffrey Bull's third book, The Sky is Red, on his experiences and meditations during a three year imprisonment at the hands of the communist Chinese. I never get tired of his provoking thoughts on God and what our attitude should be toward Him and our commitment to Him.

"Whosoever doth not bear his cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple...Whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.....
Until we accept this criterion of discipleship we cannot know in experience the reality of His Answer. Whilst we cling to ourselves and the things we have gathered around us, we continue cluttered with our problems. When all is relinquished and we launch out in faith then we are free."
